BontfireXX06 is the last living son of the famous Grand Prix Jumping stallion, a historic stallion, Samber was the first pinto stallion to be approved by the KWPN studbooks in 1979, giving pinto colored horses their first recognition as a sport horse. Bred by Mr H Smilda at Roden in Holland, Samber is one of the only pinto Dutch stallions who has competed in dressage to Grand Prix and was well known for his ‘golden’ temperament. In the 100 day KWPN stallion test Samber, received a 10 out of 10 on temperament and disposition and passed his 100 day test with an overall score of 160.2 points, he gained an A Certificate . Bontire has definitely inherited and passes on his stellar temperament to his descendants. Samber’s sire Pericles is one of the great Dutch stallions and one of the few to receive the title ‘preferent’. His dam Tina D – also ‘preferent’ was a Grand Prix show jumper. Samber is the sire of multiple Grand Prix and show jumping horses. As a sport horse Samber proved himself in both the showjumping arena and the dressage ring, competing up to Grand Prix level in dressage and Z level (grade A) as a showjumping horse. As a sire of competition horses Samber really made his name, nearly every sport horse of color can trace their descendants back to Samber. Samber has numerous licensed offspring world wide. His most famous licensed sons are Art Deco (Samber x Zorba), Sambertino (Samber x Wellington), and Sambesis (Samber x Utrecht).
